Injury-Causing Wrecks in Michigan
Even the most careful driver might be seriously injured in a vehicle collision caused by another reckless motorist.
The Great Lakes State is no exception to the nationwide trend of millions of people injured annually due to traffic accidents. In reality, there are more than three million automobiles registered in Southeast Michigan alone, as reported by the Michigan Office of Highway Safety Planning. Every two minutes, a car accident occurs somewhere in the state. About 76,000 people were injured, and 980 people died in Michigan in a single year.
Many factors may contribute to road collisions, including inattentive driving, drunk driving, reckless driving, and breaking traffic regulations. You need an experienced vehicle accident attorney who will look out for your best interests no matter what led to your accident.
Too many motorists mistakenly believe they can handle legal matters on their own. You may better seek the compensation you are owed after a car accident and preserve your legal rights by consulting with an experienced attorney. A vehicle accident attorney can assist you in dealing with the legal complexities of a personal injury claim and the insurance company’s potential opposition.
There are a few things you should do right away following a vehicle accident, but consulting an experienced attorney is a key step in the recovery process. As a first step, you should compile as much information as you can concerning the accident. Furthermore, ensure you have contacted the police to file a report and notified your insurance company before engaging a Michigan auto accident lawyer to begin fighting for your rightful compensation.
