Wyoming, MI – Fatal Crash on S Division St near 32nd St

Wyoming, MI (February 26, 2024) – Emergency crews across Kent County were called to the scene of a major motor vehicle accident that occurred on Friday afternoon and claimed one woman’s life. The incident was reported to law enforcement at around 2:15 p.m. on February 23.

Police reports indicate that two vehicles collided on South Division Street near 32nd Street. Authorities immediately shut down the intersection while assisting. One of the vehicles crashed into a utility pole and caught on fire. Firefighters immediately began battling the blaze. A passenger in the vehicle, identified as a 35-year-old local woman, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two victims were treated for injuries. At this time, investigations into the crash are underway by the Wyoming Police Department’s Accident Investigation and Forensic Science units.
