Kalamazoo Co., MI – Bicyclist Hurt in Car Crash on E Michigan Ave

Facing the aftermath of a bicycle accident presents a significant challenge. Sadly, our state witnesses tens of thousands of injury-causing collisions every year, and many of them involve bicyclists. Those affected by these incidents often undergo extensive medical treatments, with prevalent injuries in Michigan bicycle accidents including:

  • Knee injuries: The impact of the accident can force the knee joint to twist or bend unnaturally, resulting in discomfort, swelling, and restricted mobility.
  • Dislocated joints: Individuals experiencing these injuries may require immediate medical attention to stabilize and reposition the joint, followed by rehabilitation to restore full function.
  • Crush injuries: Those suffering from these injuries may need surgery, skin grafts, or other medical interventions to repair the damage.
  • Abdominal injuries: Common abdominal injuries comprise lacerations, internal bleeding, organ damage, and digestive tract perforations. Treatment for these injuries may involve emergency surgery, blood transfusions, and extensive rehabilitation procedures.
