Lansing, MI (March 11, 2024) – One person lost their life as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Saturday evening in Lansing. The crash was reported to the police department at approximately 6:30 p.m. on March 9.

According to reports from the Michigan State Police, an automobile accident occurred on Jolly Highway during the evening hours. As a result of the crash, a black 2012 Lincoln MKC went off the roadway and came to rest in the Grand River near Williams Road. Rescue crews rushed to the scene to provide assistance. Two of the people in the vehicle were rescued. A third victim was missing, prompting the response of a dive team. The victim was recovered from the vehicle and pronounced deceased as a result of their injuries. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
