Macomb, MI (March 13, 2024) – A major motor vehicle accident was reported in the Macomb area on Tuesday evening, sending at least one person to a local hospital with injuries. The Michigan State Police, firefighters, and EMS were all requested at the scene at around 5:45 p.m. on March 12.

According to police reports, an automobile accident occurred on Interstate 696. The incident blocked multiple lanes of the road on the eastbound side near Van Dyke Avenue.
