Lee Township, MI – Multiple Injured in Rollover Crash at 56th St & 112th Ave

Lee Township, MI (June 16, 2025) – A late-night rollover crash in Lee Township left several individuals seriously injured on Saturday, June 14. The incident took place near the intersection of 56th Street and 112th Avenue, just north of Pullman, at approximately 11:30 p.m.

According to the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office, the crash was initially reported through an iPhone crash notification sent to 911. Deputies arrived to find a severely damaged SUV that had collided with a tree and flipped over. Initial findings suggest that a pickup truck traveling north on 56th Street struck the SUV as it was pulling out of a driveway.

Emergency medical teams treated the victims on the scene and transported multiple individuals to nearby hospitals for further care. The specific number of injured persons has not been confirmed, but deputies indicated that the injuries were serious. Authorities believe that both speed and alcohol may have contributed to the crash. The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the incident.

We hope those injured in this accident recover quickly.

Car Accidents in Michigan

Lee Township, MI – Multiple Injured in Rollover Crash at 56th St & 112th AveAcross Michigan, vehicle accidents involving rollovers and collisions with fixed objects like trees account for a significant number of serious injury cases. Each year, thousands of crashes involve impaired or speeding drivers, often late at night or in rural areas. These conditions increase the likelihood of devastating crashes where emergency response can be delayed or victims are difficult to reach.

Understanding the effects of alcohol- and speed-related crashes is important. Here are a few key points families and victims should know:

  • High-Speed Collisions Increase Injury Severity: When vehicles travel faster than posted limits, crashes are more likely to result in critical injuries due to the increased force at impact.
  • Alcohol Slows Reaction Time: Even small amounts of alcohol can impair a driver's ability to make quick, sound decisions—especially on rural roads or in low-visibility conditions.
  • Rollover Accidents Often Lead to Ejections: Victims not wearing seatbelts or those in vehicles with weak roof structures are more likely to suffer severe or fatal injuries in rollovers.
  • Nighttime Driving Is Riskier: Reduced visibility, fatigue, and higher rates of impaired driving after dark contribute to a spike in nighttime crashes.
  • Emergency Response May Be Delayed in Rural Areas: Crashes outside of city centers can take longer for responders to reach, which may affect medical outcomes for those involved.
