Dearborn, MI (December 30, 2021) – A 19-year-old man has lost his life after his involvement in an auto accident with a semi-truck Wednesday night, December 29. The incident was reported to officials in Dearborn at approximately 7:00 p.m.
Police responded to the eastbound lanes of Ford Road near Maple Street due to reports concerning a rollover accident with a semi-truck. Initial reports indicate that a Buick sedan, driven by the 19-year-old, was headed east on Ford Road when for unknown reasons he side-swept a semi-truck and a Toyota sedan before rolling over.
The teen was listed in critical condition at Beaumont Hospital before being airlifted to Ann Arbor where he succumbed to his injuries and passed away. The Buick’s passenger was injured in the crash and was later released from the hospital.
The driver of the Toyota also sustained a minor injury and was also kept at the hospital for a short time and later released. At this time, police continue to investigate the details of the incident.
