Lowell, MI (January 15, 2022) - A pileup crash in the Lowell area resulted in the injury of a local man on Friday night, January 14. The accident was reported at the crossing of M-21 and Cumberland Avenue at around 8:14 p.m.
Emergency personnel were sent to the scene to render aid to the involved parties. A 79-year-old Lowell man was reportedly headed westbound when he collided head-on with a pickup truck. The truck overturned due to the impact. Another vehicle was also involved in the crash.
The Lowell man was hospitalized for the treatment of sustained injuries. No other injuries were reported.
An ongoing investigation into the cause of the accident is in progress.
