Pedestrian Accidents in Michigan
In Michigan, over 100 pedestrians lose their lives in accidents each year. Pedestrians are some of the most at-risk travelers on the road at any given time. Due to being totally unprotected while going from point A to point B, pedestrians are at a heightened risk of becoming injured or even killed if involved in a traffic collision.
Drivers and pedestrians alike must always be mindful and look out for one another while traveling. It is important for pedestrians to try and make eye-contact with drivers before stepping out into the roadway. This way, it is more likely that they will not get hit by a car due to making their presence known to others on the road.
Being injured in a traffic accident is no one’s idea of a good time. Injured victims are often forced to spend days or even weeks in the hospital recovering, forcing them out of work and away from the daily activities they once loved. Victims can face things like anxiety, depression, and even PTSD depending on the severity of the accident they were involved in.
