Michigan Car Accidents

Hundreds of car accidents happen in Michigan every day. On average, the Wolverine State sees approximately 800 crashes per day, or about 300,000 per year. Of these accidents, approximately 75,000 people sustain injuries every year, and more than 1,000 lose their lives. Car accidents are a leading cause of injury and death across the United States and throughout Michigan.

Traffic collisions can happen for many different reasons. Currently, the leading cause of auto accidents in the United States is driver negligence, which accounts for more than 90% of them. Driver negligence can be demonstrated in numerous ways including driver distraction, intoxication, and fatigue. Injuries that stem from these types of wrecks are often more severe than injuries caused by other types of accidents. This is because, overall, auto accidents caused by negligence are usually more catastrophic. A car crash lawyer in Michigan may be able to help you if you or someone you love has been injured in a wreck.
