Detroit, MI (March 21, 2022) – A husband and wife from Lapeer lost their lives in an auto accident in Independence Township on the morning of Monday, March 21. At approximately 10:45 p.m., their vehicle collided with another vehicle on Ortonville Road.
Reports say the wreck happened on Ortonville Road near Rattalee Lake Road. The two victims were pronounced deceased at the scene. One was a 47-year-old female and the other was a 48-year-old male.
The other driver involved sustained injuries and was transported from the scene to a local hospital by ambulance. Authorities are still investigating the details of the wreck.
