Clinton Twp., MI (January 8, 2024) – A crash reported on Sunday morning resulted in injuries. Calls for assistance came in at approximately 7:00 a.m. on January 7.

According to local law enforcement reports, a collision between at least seven vehicles took place on the westbound side of 16 Mile Road. The incident prompted authorities to shut down the roadway near the Clinton River overpass as they provided assistance with clearing the scene. Authorities believe that the chain reaction collision was caused by black ice on the roadway. Emergency medical services responded to care for the injured victims. Those who required further medical attention were transported to local hospitals. The Sterling Heights Police Department responded to the scene to assist the Clinton Township Police Department. At this time, investigations are ongoing.
