Erie Twp., MI (April 24, 2024) – Emergency crews were summoned to provide assistance at the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred in Erie Township on Monday evening, April 22. Authorities were notified that the accident occurred at around 1145 p.m.

Reports from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office show that a head-on collision took place on Telegraph Road near Erie Road. Both vehicles involved in the crash sustained significant damage. One vehicle flipped onto its side after the collision. Multiple people involved in the crash were injured. Emergency medical services responded to the scene to care for the injured victims. One victim, identified as a 37-year-old man, was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 41-year-old, a 21-year-old, a 19-year-old, and a 58-year-old were all transported to area hospitals for emergency medical care. The accident is under investigation at this time.
