Detroit, MI (July 20, 2023) - On Thursday, July 20, in the late evening, Detroit Police Department officers reported a collision with apparent injuries and started an investigation.
The collision occurred on the northbound side of Michigan Highway 39 just before 9:10 p.m., according to a warning issued by the Michigan Department of Transportation. Soon after they arrived, DPD police and nearby paramedics closed almost all of the lanes leading up to Warren Avenue.
After DPD police closed off the scene, paramedics were called, but there is still no word on the drivers' conditions or the severity of their wounds. Officials from the DPD will manage the continuing inquiry and will make additional information public as it becomes available.
