Farmington, MI (December 24, 2021) – A 51-year-old man lost his life on Wednesday, December 22 after being hit by a pickup truck in Farmington. Reports say the crash happened just before 6:00 p.m. on 12 Mile Road near Halstead.
Police troopers with the Farmington Hills Police Department’s Traffic Safety Section determined that a Ford F-150 headed west on 12 Mile hit the man who was trying to cross the road. The victim was transported to Beaumont Hospital where he later passed away.
Traffic was backed up in the area for an extended period of time while crews worked to secure the scene. Police in Farmington continue to investigate.
