Egelston, MI (February 16, 2022) – Just before 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 16, a fatal car wreck occurred on a roadway in Egelston. Police and paramedics were dispatched to the crash scene located on Carr Road shortly after the incident occurred.
Sources say the accident happened on Carr Road near Apple Avenue when a Volkswagen collided with a Ford F-150 for reasons still being investigated. An 18-year-old woman from Muskegon lost her life and three others sustained injuries.
Those who were injured include the Volkswagen driver, age 19, who was transported to an area hospital in serious condition, the 41-year-old female driver of the pickup truck who is currently listed in serious but stable condition, and a 23-year-old female passenger who was in the truck at the time. She sustained minor injuries, according to reports.
Authorities in Egelston continue to investigate the details of the wreck.
